Characteristics
The active ingredients of Revivogen are natural extracts that have the ability to inhibit the 5-alpha-riduttasi (the enzyme that produces the DHT), to stop the receptors of the androgens in the follicles and to stimulate regrowth. Among the principal ingredients there are fat acids like the acid Gamma Linolenic (GLA), Alpha Linolenic (ALA), Linoleic, Oleic, Azelaic, Vitamin B6, Zinc, Saw Palmetto, Beta-Sitosterol and Procyanidin Oligomers. Revivogen is the only product that contains all these ingredients together
Properties of the ingredients
GLA, ALA, Acid Linoleic and Acid Oleic.
The acid Gamma Linolenic (GLA), Alpha Linolenic (Wing), Linoleic and Oleic are fat acids that are contained in the vegetable extracts and that have shown to have the ability to inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha riduttasi. Besides, they have the quality to inhibit both the type I and II of 5-alpha riduttasi at topical level, and not only the type II; the type I of this enzyme is present in great concentrations on the scalp, in the sebaceous glands and in the skin. Besides GLA, ALA and acid Oleic have anti-inflammatory properties.
Acid Azelaic, Vitamin B6 and Zinc.
The acid azelaic is a natural acid that is found in the wheat and in the cereals and it has been approved by the FDA for the preparation of topical products against the acne and other pathologies of the skin. Together with the Zinc and the vitamin B6 even the acid azelaic has shown great capacity to inhibit the 5-alpha riduttasi, sometimes present in percentages greater than 90%, and therefore the use of these components together has given a very effective result against the baldness.
Extract of Saw Palmetto.
The Saw Palmetto has been broadly studied in the past for many years in the treatment of the prostatic hypertrophy in the man (benign prostatic hypertrophy). It's known as anti-androgen and it has shown to be effective in stopping the formation of the DHT and also to inhibit the receptors of the piliferous follicles ; besides, like the fat acids, it inhibits both types I and II of alpha riduttasi.
Procyanidin Oligomers.
Known also as Proantocianidina, it is a natural substance that has shown to stimulate the regrowth of hair like minoxidil. Some recent studies done in Japan have shown that this substance stimulates the activity of the epithelial cells and induces phase anagen in the piliferous bulbs studied in vitro. This element has been integrated therefore to the formula of Revivogen to increase the stimulating abilities of this product.
How to use it
Shake well before the use; apply 1 millilitre solution on the interested area of the scalp once a day, gently massaging with the fingertips for 10-20 seconds, allowing the product to act at least 4-5 hours. The results can vary from subject to subject.
Warnings
Only for external use. Avoid the contact with the eyes, keep out of the children’ reach. In case of accidental ingestion consult one's own physician. It can verify a transitory blush: in case of persistence, suspend the use since it can be hypothesized an individual sensibility to one of the ingredients of the product.
